It was an entirely manual process controlled by the dealer or service provider and often relied on very frequent in-person office visits by the dealer or provider. A: PowerMPS is designed to help save time and money in several ways. In regard to the gathering meter reads, toner inventory and service calls, one example is utilizing the unique QR Code that PowerMPS creates for every device (whether it is a device that is picked up and being monitored by our DCA, or even for a device you add manually to the PowerMPS Device Manager that is not being monitored by the DCA)….This QR code can be incorporated with asset tags from your organization, or simply adhered to the side of the device, providing your customer (or a service technician) the ability to scan the QR code with a mobile device, and access the PowerMPS Cloud, where they have the ability to not only view real-time device status (toner levels, pages remaining, DAYS remaining on consumables, technical alerts, etc.), but your end customer (or service technician) can also request technical service and support by scanning the QR Code. Same thing with Ordering consumables as well as entering meters (for local or non-monitored devices) …. scan the QR code and there are options for “Enter Meters”, “Order Consumables”, “Request Service” all of which communicate back to you directly. It can also go much further, with built in automation that can take a consumable alert or service alert generated by our DCA and automatically create a sales order and send a PO to your vendor for dropship (with no manual data-entry) or create a work-order in the Service Manager within PowerMPS to be dispatched to a service tech or service provider (with no manual data-entry). And with our error code database, you can include step-by-step instructions on how to fix the issue, recommended parts list for repair of a device based on the error code…. all helping to reduce downtime, improve part-provision, and reduce T&M or need for multiple on-site visits.
In addition, the PowerMPS eCommerce system provides your customers with the ability to view the devices you are monitoring or managing for them, know what devices are managed or non-managed, request service and support, and have instant access for supply ordering.

PowerMPS DCA collects counters from devices and will automatically calculate and generate an invoice based on the meters for a given billing cycle along with the billing parameters you have set for your client. Monitored devices are automatically reporting meters, and non-monitored devices (i.e. local devices) can collect meter reads by scanning the QR Code and entering in the counters, which report back to the PowerMPS DCA Manager and invoices are generated according to device level settings. PowerMPS was developed for the channel through the lens of the dealer with the goal of giving you back your TIME and removing manual data entry and double entries as much as possible, and providing business process automation efficiently and effectively.
How is PowerMPS better than our current DCA?
A: The PowerMPS DCA was developed to act as an eco-system of Data Collectors, with the ability to monitor devices and easily be installed and deployed in a variety of ways. It is designed so that you are getting accurate data with AI and Predictive Learning Technology built in and focused on reducing waste (which is the #1 killer in MPS!)
You can monitor, measure and report on supply utilization and know when a consumable is installed, when it was removed, and exactly how much of the consumable was left when the cartridge was removed (telling you how many pages were wasted by the consumable being removed too early).
